The songs of Ed Sheeran are normally quite “slimy”, a lot of love, romance, like your body, etc. The original song “I don’t care” together with Justin Bieber is also not really one my favorite songs. However, the acoustic version of this song is great. It has a Samba rhythm swinging in the background, starting with the guitar, later supported by percussion. Great tune and also the first Ed Sheeran song I like.
Carry On
Can I have this song please without the main vocals but just with the excellent vocal effect “Carry on for you” of the refrain? Once again excellent work done by Kygo. The side-chained, soft kick drum provides an excellent support for the main signature of this song, the refrain vocal effect. Still wondering how this effect was done, probably a combination of vocal chopping and vocal synthesis based on a flute or another wind instrument.
Good days
The German singer/songwriter Johannes Oerding already impressed with his hit “Kreise” in 2017. Now, in 2019, he published another great song “An Guten Tagen”. It has an excellent pop beat, a beautiful refrain melody and a very positive forward-driving attitude. Would love to transfer this into an electronic cover.
Emotion
Enjoy my remix of the Hazey Eyes feat. Panama song “Emotion” for a Splice remix contest. Loved the atmosphere of the original track, so I gave it a little bit of my own twist. Background image shot from the “Bastei” nearby Dresden.
Mirai
Enjoy my new remix of the Madison Mars song “Mirai” for a Spinnin’ Records remix contest. It’s my first house track, if you like it please leave a like at Spinnin’ Records:

4 A.M.
I was happy to see that Sebastien is now the new member of Scooter, replacing Phil Speiser. In the early days I loved the techno music of Scooter, especially due to the pitched vocals and (at the time) modern synth sounds, but it has become very quiet about Scooter. In the context of the new band setup, I listened to some old Scooter songs again and actually recognized the song “4 A.M.” for the first time and immediately fell in love with the melody and the beautiful energetic vocals of Jaje Marshall. Note the TV tower of Alexanderplatz in Berlin at the end of the video.
Scooter’s “4 A.M” is also using pitched vocal effect samples of the song “Million Voices” by Otto Knows.
Overall the song “4 A.M.” is a perfect combination/rework of both originals. And actually, since Sebastien is now in the band, it would be a perfect basis for a new Sebastien Remix – can’t wait!
Heartbeat
Enjoy my work for the Splice remix contest of the Eleven & JES song “Heartbeat Tonight”. My first experiment with Electro Trap. It was a pleasure to work with the beautiful refrain vocals, I tried to create a beautiful atmosphere around them.

Dark Brenner
I was impressed when I heard this very special song in the radio: It starts with a monotonous beat, weird distorted organ chords and (almost infrasound) dark vocals. But then at 3:26 min, the song takes a great harmonic turn and almost has a soft trance style. Great work of the Berlin music producer Paul Kalkbrenner in his interpretation of the Leonard Cohen song “You Want It Darker”.
As a reference, this is the original song by Leonard Cohen. After more than 7 minutes of the Paul Kalkbrenner remix, it’s almost impossible to not hear the distorted chords. 🙂
Stay
Enjoy my work for the Splice remix contest of the Jon Sine feat. Gavin Beach song “Stay”.
This one was quite tough. I tried to give the vocals a more male character and also added tempo and energy to the song overall. Hope you like the result.

Speechless
… (Speechless)
Well, the video doesn’t really make me speechless but the latest song “Speechless” from Robin Schulz has a beautiful and catchy verse melody. Just the synth-brass in the refrain doesn’t really fit into this well-engineered song.
The saxophonist Juozas Kuraitis recorded a great cover of this song, the saxophone is even adding more energy to the song. Unfortunately the synth-brass part is still included.
