The Chainsmokers & Coldplay are currently at the top of the German charts with their great song “Something just like this”. The piano atmosphere at 2:57 min. is like a drug, can’t get it out of my mind.
As always with Coldplay, even better live.
Chris Martin’s performance is great even on a cheap mini keyboard.
Life in Mono
On the Berlin radio station “radioeins” the song “Life in Mono” from the band “Mono” caught my attention. The music is a mix of James Bond and Unfinished Sympathy. But the melodic refrain with a breakbeat in background has a quite modern sound, even though the track was released more than 20 years ago in 1996.
The soul of house
At the age of only 22, Felix Jaehn is a very successful DJ and music producer. With the remix of the track “Your Soul” by Rhodes, he did a great job once again.

Getting old
Well, we’re all getting old. Los Pibes films has visualized this very well in the music video of the track “Hear Me Now” from Alok, Bruno Martini feat. Zeeba. Great video, great song! Somehow the beat and the sounds remind me a lot of Bob Sinclair’s “Love Generation”.
Lost on LP
A song which I heard for the first time in the radio in Berlin today immediately caught my attention. Laura Pergolizzi alias “LP” has written a great song “Lost On You” with great harmonies, a powerful voice, jumping chords and a very cool club atmosphere. The video distracts from LP because most of the attention is on a model in underwear, nevertheless a great light atmosphere is created, starting at 2:42 min in the video.

U R the future
In a German TV film I heard the One Republic song “Future looks good” for the first time and I love it. A relaxing song with a nice text. Great work by One Republic once again.
Opening
In our local Berlin radio station “radioeins” I recently heard a song which fascinated me immediately. Its calm, melancholic arrangement creates a magic atmosphere. Great work by Charlie Cunningham, the song is called “An Opening”. This is the acoustic version.
In the normal version, I can’t get enough of the atmospheric synth arpeggio, starting at 2:33 min.
Shine
For the first time I saw that there is actually a nice video available for the great song “Nova” from VNV Nation. It was recorded during the Live Entertainment Award. It has great music of course and a nice laser show.
