The opening theme of the film “Chariots of Fire” is widely known. It was written by Vangelis Papathanassiou in 1981.

A few years later, Vangelis had to go through a copyright infringement lawsuit for plagiarism of the song “City Of Violets”, composed by Stavros Logarides in 1977. When he played the theme in court, the jurors declared his innocence.

During the Olympic Games in 2012, this song was performed by the London Symphony Orchestra and Rowan Atkinson alias Mr. Bean. A wonderful combination of disciplines.

It was a pleasure to work with the super cool vocoder vocals of the original song. I tried to change the character of the song into a fat breakbeat style, hope you like it!

Christopher Tin is also known for “Baba Yetu” a great song used in the Dubai Fountain show. For this “Did you know?” remix it was a pleasure to create a composition which combines orchestra and dance sounds.

I enjoyed so much working with the super beautiful voice track of Stella Rio, therefore I also tried to emphasize her voice in my remix. The “Vox-Wet-126-Bmin” track is the only track used from the original song.

“Süßer die Glocken nie klingen” is a Christmas melody from 1826 which I pimped up to the year 2017. Merry Christmas!

When U2 announced their new album “Songs Of Experience”, the rock song “You’re the best thing about me” immediately got popular.

But there is magic on the way! Now that the full album has been released, the track “Love Is All We Have Left” is available on streaming platforms. It is pure magic! Looking forward to the music video soon.

When I submitted my remix, it started off at position 792 of 875 remixes but thanks to your amazing support, it finally reached position 151 out of 999 remixes!!!

It makes me very proud to have such a great support and it also makes me happy that some people like my music. This was actually me first public remix project. I’m already preparing the next remix. Even though the contest is closed, you can keep on listening to it on Soundcloud.

Even as a German native speaker it’s sometimes difficult to understand lyrics: The song “Monica Bellucci” from the German rapper Renato Simunovic alias “RIN” immediately caught my attention because of the excellent beat and the very cool vocal effect, using very decent pitch correction. More than 18 million Spotify streams are already confirming the high potential of this song.

The first text line I understood clearly in the lyrics was “Nokia 8210”, which reminds of forgotten times.

The person behind the excellent beat is actually Alexis Papadimitriou alias Alexis Troy, a German producer. He is producing music for various projects, from commercials to songs for hip hop artists. This teaser for one of his songs contains great drone shots.
