Swing Parade

Enjoy my work for the Spinnin’ Records remix contest of the Vinai song “Parade”. The Rihanna-style vocals inspired me to try something completely different this time. Hearing the vocal track I imagined a big ballroom with a singer and a band on stage. So I decided to produce a SWING version of this song:

If you like it please vote for my remix at Spinnin’ Records until Feb 2, 2018 12AM CET.

This is my remix on Soundcloud.

This is the original by Vinai.

Funkastarz

No! It’s not a typo! “Funkastarz” is actually the title of a John Christian song on Tiësto – CLUBLIFE VOL. 5 – CHINA.

Splice released the stems of this compilation in the context of a remix contest (#clubliferemixes). The song “Funkastarz” caught my attention because of the very melodic vocoder vocals, so I created a remix.

Nobel Dynamite

Sigrid is fascinating, from a small city in Norway she is now on the way to the top. Regardless of the stage that she is singing on, the emotion and articulation in her music is great.

Recently she played in front of a huge audience at the Nobel Peace Prize concert in her home country. They even arranged support by a big orchestra which makes the song sound almost like a Hollywood movie score. With or without orchestra, her voice is dynamite.

And her energy on stage is amazing.

Music meets parody

The opening theme of the film “Chariots of Fire” is widely known. It was written by Vangelis Papathanassiou in 1981.

A few years later, Vangelis had to go through a copyright infringement lawsuit for plagiarism of the song “City Of Violets”, composed by Stavros Logarides in 1977. When he played the theme in court, the jurors declared his innocence.

During the Olympic Games in 2012, this song was performed by the London Symphony Orchestra and Rowan Atkinson alias Mr. Bean. A wonderful combination of disciplines.

Only for your love

Enjoy my work for the Splice remix contest of the Nicky Romero & Florian Picasso song “Only For Your Love”. If you like my remix, please vote until January 4, 2018 at 11:59 PM EST here:

It was a pleasure to work with the super cool vocoder vocals of the original song. I tried to change the character of the song into a fat breakbeat style, hope you like it!

Happy New Year!

Have a wonderful year 2018! Looking back on an exciting year 2017, filled with love and passion. Closing 2017 with the best statement of the year by Johannes Oerding: “Ohne unser gestern, würd’ ich mich heute nicht so auf morgen freuen!”

Did you know?

Enjoy my work for the Splice remix contest of the tyDi and Christopher Tin song “Did you know”:

Christopher Tin is also known for “Baba Yetu” a great song used in the Dubai Fountain show. For this “Did you know?” remix it was a pleasure to create a composition which combines orchestra and dance sounds.

Beautiful Disaster

Please vote for my Morgan Page “Beautiful Disaster” remix at Splice:

I enjoyed so much working with the super beautiful voice track of Stella Rio, therefore I also tried to emphasize her voice in my remix. The “Vox-Wet-126-Bmin” track is the only track used from the original song.

Merry Christmas!

May your Christmas time be filled with love! Let the bells of peace ring and let the light of Christmas shine bright!

“Süßer die Glocken nie klingen” is a Christmas melody from 1826 which I pimped up to the year 2017. Merry Christmas!
