I was impressed when I heard this very special song in the radio: It starts with a monotonous beat, weird distorted organ chords and (almost infrasound) dark vocals. But then at 3:26 min, the song takes a great harmonic turn and almost has a soft trance style. Great work of the Berlin music producer Paul Kalkbrenner in his interpretation of the Leonard Cohen song “You Want It Darker”.
As a reference, this is the original song by Leonard Cohen. After more than 7 minutes of the Paul Kalkbrenner remix, it’s almost impossible to not hear the distorted chords. 🙂
